Welcome to this virtual garden of edibles

This virtual garden doesn't compare to the real thing, in any season: all year round, we enjoy freshly picked or simply stored veggies, herbs & fruits. Here's what's going on in the real Lusthof this month:

  • The greenhouse: 100 tomato plants, up to their knees into rough compost, are growing like crazy. First flowers!
On top of the horse manure shit stove I added a layer of finished compost on April 25. The cuke plants I put on top of this simmering mound are already producing loads of crisp cucumbers.
We're eating the last snap peas. Yum!
  • This week we've been eating mainly:
    • green garlic & dill & coriander & hop shoots & nettles & chervil & parsley & lettuce (including my own Carpe grex) & celery & arugula  & mustard & broccoli & kohlrabi & cucumbers & courgettes & ...
  • I'm still on schedule with weeding & mulching: lots of lovely work, but to me it's edible, tangible, earth-bound meditation.

Lectures
I do give lectures, but only in a range of about 50 km from home.
